Since 1974, GU has been at the forefront of energy consulting in Germany, helping businesses optimize their energy procurement and consumption. As one of the first energy consultancies in the country, we have continuously developed and refined our services, delivering proven results to our clients for decades. 

Originally founded as a technical consultancy to optimize energy consumption, we expanded our services with the liberalization of the energy market. We were among the first to offer energy purchasing consulting on a pure success basis, specializing in fully hedged fixed-price products. Besides this fully hedged product we also offer structured purchasing. We organize market access for our clients by identifying suitable energy suppliers and, through these suppliers, we offer the following three key services

With an ultra-low failure rate, our Light as a Service (LaaS) model requires no upfront investment. Instead, customers pay a monthly service fee, which is typically lower than the energy savings achieved, allowing them to save money from day one.

Additionally, we replace outdated LED systems with our latest ultra-energy-efficient lighting solutions, enabling up to 50% additional energy savings. Our specially designed lamps deliver maximum efficiency, long-term sustainability, and cost reduction for businesses.

Since 2013, we have also been offering turnkey energy management systems, including full certification services based on ISO 50001, ISO 14001, and DIN 16247, along with other related services.
